Isn't competition GREAT. Facebook has announced that they will be "revamping its privacy settings to increase their transparency and make it easier for the site's 750 million users to know exactly with whom they are sharing their online lives." There is no doubt in my mind that Google+ , who have signed up more that 10 million users over the past two months and goes further in their approach to privacy, has spawned this revamping of Facebook’s privacy settings. Although Facebook will not likely admit it, Google+ has become a real threat to their Social Networking dominance, given that they have learned from Facebook’s mistakes and the public/professional critcisms (specifc to privacy) it has faced.

Even with these privacy changes, and no matter what the social network, always remember that anything posted is always:
1. Public and NEVER private
2. Often very searchable by anyone
3. Once posted becomes permanent even if you hit the delete button later on
4. Exploitable
